One of the questions I often get at an airshow is "how do you not get dizzy....what are you looking at".
So I decided to wear a helmet cam and let everyone see the airshow as I see it...start to finish...uncut. (it was recorded at the NAS Brunswick ME Air Show)
I hope you enjoy

were awesome? i say he is still awesome!
I saw him today in Martinsburg outstanding performance! Total high energy!
I am new to this sight and am having trouble watching all of these movies do I need to download
something? Thanks for the help.
Josh
WOW!!!!!!
ditto, awesome video
Thanks a lot for let us see what you see...great video, nice job!
Awesome idea Rob!!!
Great video... and airshow!!
That's some great work, Rob...Thanks for sharing and giving us that look!
Airspeed from zero to damn near pegged. What is your max speed during the demo? Are you ruddering
into some of those verticals?
up to 300 mph .
I rudder into a few of them ...like the slide is ruddered into.
Awesome! Thank you for sharing!
WOW!!!!!!!
Thanks for showing us what you go through.
That is amazing. Rob you make it look easy. Awesome view and a truly inspiring video. Looks like
the best job in the world.
Two words, BAD ASS!!!! I love the roll at the end. Great video and great pilot.
NOW THATS FLYIN!
NOW THATS FLYIN!
Awesome Rob. What music is added in it?
Sounds like music from the movie 'Gladiator' to me. I'm diggin' it's use in this kick-ass clip.
All those spins makes me wanna lose my lunch.
In order its Chronicals of Riddick, Gladiator, and Pirates of the Caribbean
That wasn't an air show. That was art. Like Mozart in the cockpit, an elegantly chaotic piece of
airborne virtuosity. That's enough to give us spectators a whole new level of respect for what you
performers do. Thanks for sharing!
Nice job ol buddy!
Thanks Dude.
How have you been man?
Wow Great Video Rob!!!
As usual amazing to watch!!!
Thanks man.
Wow! I have a ton of respect for your profession. You truly earned every applause you received
from the crowd below.
I love the way the edited music is so in sync!! What is the red button on top of the stick? I see
you hit that a few times.
Great job.......I am dizzy
It's the Smoke on/off button
Dude, this is simply amazing. fantastic job. I want another ride.
Holy Crap Rob. Great vid and a great performance.
Does wearing the helmet cam affect you in the cockpit? Do you feel its weight when you are taking
g-force? I've always wondered about that watching these videos. I saw you at Pease and BNAS and
both times it was a treat.
It doesn't affect me at all....it is just a little lipstick cam velcroed to my helmet....the actuall
recorder is stored elsewere in the plane.
Thank you for the complement.
Rob
Really awesome flying and great perspective.
incredibly awesome! you need to come to La Crosse, WI for Deke Slayton Airfest. And one request if
you do... can I go up with you?
Rob- You are the man- Can't wait til June!
One word, WOW.
Talk about "intense". Until I saw the prop finally change speed at the end I wasn't sure if you
weren't still going to throw some more rolls in there! Damn nut job...I'll ride with you any time!
Rob, I was hoping to see what your hands were doing in some of the maneuvers a little more. I've
done hammerhead stalls and knife edges plus tight turns in a AT-6 Texan by Grumman but never snap
rolls, inverted flying or four point and eight point rolls and was curious to see the stick and
throttle control. What kind of G-forces do you encounter in some of those demos?
+10 and - 6gs
Great video...I'd forgotten what it felt like (hint hint) :o) Jeni
Simply an outstanding video Rob. Great work.
I paxed along for some serious unlimited work in an Extra 300 two weeks back, and what struck me as
fascinating was the rapid change from positive to negative G, and the sideways yaw. It was all so
simply extreme. Keep pushing :)
Jorgo...what you doin here?? Silly question I guess
Rob...outstanding vid...loved the landing!! And 12 minutes...man that is a marathon beat up!!
Hey Rob love watching you fly. There have been a few times ive seen you up practicing around home
when im out cruising. You bring tons of excitemint to the show and i love your MX-2
Rob, wonderful video first of all. Also I'd just like to add I'm very thankfull to you and all the
other performers that come to Maine. I don't know if I speak for all of us up here but sometimes I
personally feel a little left out with regards to things like this, so shows like Brunswick and
sometimes Owls Head are precious to me and wouldn't miss them if my life depended on it. Thanks
again, keep on rockin' and, most importantly, don't stop performing up here!
Awesome video Rob, brilliant perspective, what a great idea, thank you! What camera / recorder were
you using? Love your videos and hope to see more like this one. Our MX2 arrives end May in South
Africa, we can't wait! Rgds, Mark.
How fortunate we are here to be able to see a Master at work / play!! Thank you for sharing this
with us.
I was surprised to see several maneuvers requiring both hands on the stick. Can you comment on what
maneuvers required both hands?
Rob's the Man! When I see both hands pushing the stick to max input, I know it's gotta be good!
Well done on the video- my gyro is still tumbling ;)
Rob,
Excellent video the music makes it even more so. Good choices. Saw you twice this year (Binghamton
and at Geneseo) and once last year (Atlantic City) You bring high energy and a massive amount of
cool moves to every show. It was fun to watch you flying at Geneseo in the other aircraft as well.
If you ever need someone to velcro themselves to a wing and take video from that vantage point I am
more than willing to volunteer!!! Once again awesome vid and keep on flyin!

Good job Rob. I just bought a Su 29 and have started a new learning curve with that thing. I have
heard about how different Su's are and now I know it first hand.
Hopefully we'll meet up at a few shows next summer.
Kyle
Spectacular! Pure poetry in motion. Thanks and congratulations ~ Alan
that is soooo freaking cool
I can see why you are the performer and I am the fan. Great job and thanks for sharing your skills.
Simply Amazing!
Never gets old,... and I mean NEVER!
Wow, that was fantastic but I have a headache now!
Wow. Very cool. TFS
Thank you for sharing this incredible video. Did you actually touch the runway at the end of your
loopings ??
Beginning your figures at such a low altitude is a real challenge , I'm still breathless !!
When you came very low in your figure there is a kind of chock in the image , that's why I'm
wondering 3 Hey did he hit the ground at the end of this loop? " However Congratulations ! Nice job
and again thank for sharing !
Alain
Wow. I mean....WOW! Thank you so much for helping me to realize that it is YOU performers who really
get the best of an air show. I'd imagine you would have to have a smile on your face when doing that
kind of thing. I mean I was just watching and I'm smilin'! Thanks for the video, and great choice of
music. I would have never thought "aerobatics" and "pirates of the Caribbean", but it works!
I love this.
I'm a newbie to this site and had a hard time picking a name. I decided on my favorite movie
character. Ironically this is one of my first videos to watch (see my user name) and I love it and
the music ain't bad either.
Thanks for sharing this video -- unbelievable!!
We are not worthy!!!

I loved watching you this May at Branson Airshow-you were fantastic and I hope you have a long and
prosperous career. All the best, Michele Bourk-BKG
OMG that was just fantastic! Thank you for showing us that. Like the g-forces generated, the thrill
must be incomparable!
very good example of crazy pilots job :-)
I like it very much, now gotta show it to all my friends :-D
Awesome video! You were awesome!
