Kojak gives ride to actor James Franco
Uploaded By: Ed Shipley 03/26/2007AirShowBuzz cut this promo together for the movie "Flyboys". In it, LCDR Kevin "Kojak" Davis, took the star of the film James Franko for the ride of a lifetime in a "Blue Angel" jet. Listen to "Kojak's" soothing voice as he is flying upside down over the water. Kevin is a natural aviator who will be sorely missed by all.

This is a fine video. Kevin does fantastic work. I hope the family will allow this video to remain
in tribute to him. I have watched it several times tonight. I extend my condolences. He will be
missed.
Beautiful video and my deepest sympathy to Kojack's family and friends.
Condolences to his family
Great tribute. Kojack will be remembered and honored.
Thanks Sabre.
I'm sitting here with tears in my eyes. What a wonderful tribute to Kevin. My deepest condolences
to his family. I was in the crowd Saturday at MCAS Beaufort. I'll never forget how sad I felt and
still do. Thanks for your dedication and service to America Kojack!
This video is an untitled feature on the Flyboys Collector's Edition DVD and the Flyboys Blu Ray
disc. We actually had to have Justin do several round of edits on this video to be more selective
on when he showed James' face to minimize the amount of distortion brought on by the Gs. David had
the benefit of the oxygen mask but James was there in all his glory as captured on the uncut video.
James had recently gotten his pilot license but Kojak took pleasure in showing him the difference
between the Hornet and Cessna 172.
If you have a good eye you'll notice James has a Top Gun tribute moment. I asked him about it later
and he said it was spontaneous - he found himself inverted in a Navy fighter jet and there just one
thing that came to mind on how to communicate his excitement.
WHAT A GREAT TRIBUTE TO KAJAK.
SINCERE CONDOLENCES TO HIS FAMILY AND TO THE BLUE ANGELS.
Indeed, Kojak was a great aviator. It's very sad. He left a legacy though.
Kojak will be sorely missed. My condolences to his family and the Blue Angels. A true fighter pilot.
I'm currently working on a movie script about the 352nd FG. I was considering recommending James
Franco to play the lead as pilot Don Bryan. He looks exactly like him too! This video of him in the
air reinforces that decision. Now, to make it happen!

LUCKY guys!!!!!!
