Horsemen Cometh: Duxford

Uploaded By: AirShowBuzz 03/08/2010

Simply put, there is no place more significant to fly a Mustang than at the Flying Legends Air Show in Duxford, England. The Legends show is a living memorial to all those who gave their all. The Horsemen are humbled by the honor of flying Mustangs off Duxford's hallowed and historic grounds. We dedicate this video to the real Mustang pilots who left the grass of DUX and never came back home.

Our thanks to the Imperial War Museum for allowing us to use their incredible WWII footage. For more information on the museum, please visit their website at http://www.iwm.org.uk/

Now you can enjoy the splendor of Duxford whenever you wish, on the platform of your choosing for $5.10. We believe this gorgeous video is perfect as the first release in The Horsemen Cometh series and one you'll immediately want to add to your own library.

**SPECIAL OFFER** With purchase, you'll also receive a FREE gift of the official Horsemen poster with download!

Beautiful piece!
Is the music bed courtesy of James Horner?
It's very well chosen.

Thanks for the kind words everyone... This spot was cut by Justin Shipley... who edits all of our
Horsemen videos. The DP is Steve Purcell... none of these vids would exist with out their great
talents.

Squadron and flew out of Duxford - in a Spitfire - the white cliffs of Dover were beautiful and I
can just see my Dad flying there by watching this video! WOW! Would love to go to Duxford one day to
see this airshow as it truly is fantastic! Wonderful video and oh so clear, just like being there!
God Bless you all :) kerryann

I am USAF retired, and spent 21 years maintaining F-4's, F-16's, F-117's and F-111's. I was also
fortunate enough to spend 2 years as member of the USAF Thhunderbirds. I was born in England, and
in Sept. of 2009 I was able to return to England, with my Mom and brother, for a visit with my
Mother's family. I met relatives that weren't born when I left in 1961. My Uncle Tom took the time
to take me to Duxford for a full day. It was a tremendous experience, and the essence of what I was
feeling as I stood on the hallowed ground was captured by your Duxford video. I experienced
Spitfires and Mustangs performing aerobatics, watched the Vickers Vimy replica fly, and walked
through the original hangars and control tower, and still can't find the words to describe the
experience. Your video did it for me. Thank you!
sincerely,
Gary

Ed Shipley 3/15/10 7:08PM

Hey Gary... glad you enjoyed... anytime we can make an AF person smile is a good day!
Cheers

Wonderful Video! I like the pictures and the way of editing. I am surprised to see my favourite
composer James Horner being a big fan of the Horsemen. :-) Did he write the music for this video?

James Horner has currently composed and recorded some music for the Horsemen in L. A. ... it would
be great if you could produce a CD out of it. The Horsemen could make some money and we could listen
to this music :-))

jspetesr 4/28/10 12:05AM

I flew out of Duxford in 1944-1945 in the P-47 and the P-51.I have returned there for six years
now-gets better each year.Best air show anywhere.
