• C-17 CRASHES PREPARING FOR ELMENDORF AIR SHOW

    Elmendorf Air Force Base officials are determining if this weekend's "Arctic Thunder" air show will continue after a C-17 crashed Wednesday evening killing the four airmen onboard. The crew was reportedly taking off for a practice flight for the air show.

  • RED BULL AIR RACE CONFIRMS ONE-YEAR BREAK IN 2011

    In an official statement released on Thursday, Red Bull Air Race officials confirmed it will be taking a year-long break in 2011. The organization will use the time off to fast track technological developments currently in the making, which would further improve safety.

    The Collings Foundation recently received FAA flight exemption that allows anyone who can afford it the unique opportunity to fly in the F-4 Phantom and A-4 Skyhawk. The flights will take place from the Houston campus where participants will receive extensive training before strapping in the jet.

    The US Army Golden Knights sent its 8-Way Formation Sky Diving Team to Russia to compete in the World Team Parachuting Championships. After a long journey, the team spent the day adjusting to a new jump platform as they gear up for the meet starting August 1.

  • NASCAR TEAM OWNER IN SERIOUS CONDITION AFTER PLANE CRASHES

    According to multiple media reports, NASCAR race team owner Jack Roush is in serious, but stable condition after his Beechcraft Premier 390 crashed in Wisconsin. The NTSB is investigating the accident.

  • CF-18 DEMO PILOT SURVIVES CRASH

    CF-18 Demonstration pilot Captain Brian Bews ejected his fighter when his aircraft became unstable during a high alpha pass. Witnesses report no one on the ground was hurt and Bews is in stable condition at a local hospital with low back pain.
