I've been out of the hobby for a couple of years now and want to get back into it with a large project that'll keep me focused when I'm off work and at the house. I'm going to re-build a 1:144-scale version of the Seattle Museum of Flight and am having trouble finding plastic kits, diecast aircraft, and other peices of the Museum's collection to include in the display.
To save on time and cost, I won't be including the complete collection of aircraft that fill the Museum, so I will be cutting out filling the Personal Courage Wing with its aircraft and will focus on the outdoor displays to include the F-14A, A-6E, & Fiat G.91 on the front lawn as well as the WB-47, AV-8C, & DC-2 outside the entrance on the back lawn. If I complete this in a reasonable amount of time, I may just do the Air Park where the 747 & Concorde sit. It'll take a long time to do, but I'm hoping it'll teach me to have a bit more patience with my work. I'll be taking photos of the Museum itself to just print onto decal paper and place on blank sheets of styrene I'll cut-out to form the walls and frame of the complex.
However, I'm posting on here to ask where I may get some custom 1:144 aircraft made? I cannot for the life of me find a 1:144 G.91 Pan and am pretty sure that an M-21/D-21 Mothership Blackbird & Drone won't be available in that scale as well so I'll need those and most likely more aircraft to be made for the Great Gallery to be filled. Any suggestions as to where I may find someone or somewhere that will help me either find or manufacture these custom 1:144 aircraft? Thanks in advance.
