This show was a blast. The crowd was much larger than expected and I know it was due to the premier of Art Nalls in the Harrier, which was awesome. The rest of the show flowed fairly well and was enjoyable, but we were all on pins and needles waiting for the Harrier to fly! Everyone did a super job and you couldn't have asked for better weather, except of course the fact that the sun was in your eyes most of the day. Even the military flyby was impressive with the amount of airplanes they had in the air at one time.

Here's a couple pictures.

Good to see everyone out there again, and to meet a some new ASB members as well! The show was more entertaining than I expected, with sharp performances by Sean Carroll in the Yak-9, Kevin Russo in the T-6, Bealeton Flying Circus acts (including a wingwalker), Dr. Smoke, Charlie Schwenker, and of course, Art Nall flying the L-39 early and capping off the day with the Sea Harrier demo.

The videos are still processing, so it may take a few minutes for them to be available, but here's Art Nalls Sea Harrier debut

and the Warbird Fly-by (a.k.a. "Fleet Fly-by - Culpeper Style"). Thanks to BlueAngelsFan for the catchy title.

Hope to see everyone again next season biggrin.gif

Fun show. Glad Art had a succesful debut. I shot some HD video that I'll post on my site later this week. Left NJ at 3:30am for the 5 hour drive, so I apologize if I wasn't too sociable. Still hard to focus (mentally). Good to see and meet the people I did. Off to bed...woo hoo, Sat night at 9:45! See you at Rotorfest tomorrow.

I want to offer my congratulations for Art and his crew on the countless hours spent working to get the Sea Harrier into the air. Awesome job ladies and gentlemen, and see you all at Georgetown.

Great show. Art's SHAR demo was awesome. Also liked seeing the Percival Provost, but then I do have a thing for ugly british aircraft.

For a small airshow it was awesome. Being able to get up close to the aircraft, before and after the flight demos, is always a nice treat. There were also some fun eventsfor the kids. My girlfriends kids had the time of their life getting helicopter rides via EAA's young eagles program.

Nice pictures, everybody - looks like it was a good time!

I'm looking forward to seeing Art and the Sea Harrier next season!

Good show with perfect October weather and VIP parking tongue.gif . Nice to hang out with Cindy, Jim, Rich and all the other ASB members I met. Only problem was with certain people who kept blocking people from taking pictures as shown here. More pics later tonight after Rotorfest in West Chester.

Hey guys! I guess I was more tired than I thought......I got home and fell asleep LOL. I had a great time. The show was fantastic.....honestly I wasn't sure what to expect with a free show out in the middle of nowhere......and man was I happily surprised. It was a great show. It was non-stop, and it flowed smoothly, and I was happy to see Sean Carroll & Dr. Smoke there, and of course Art Nalls was fantastic....and such a nice guy. He took time at the end of the show to talk to everyone, and sign autographs.....and when I say talk to everyone, I don't just mean ASB members. He sat and signed autographs until around 3:45pm (and the show ended at 2:45 or so). I also thought it was so nice of the show to give free flights to any kids that wanted after the show (ages 8-17). What a great idea to help grow love of aviation in kids! Thank you very much to everyone that put this show together, you did a great job. I also wanted to say it was really great seeing all the ASB members again. It makes going to a show so much better when you can go and hang out with your friends all day long and share your love of what you are all being a part of!

I just finished getting my pics up.......as usual they can all be seen on my site, http://www.mikelynaugh.com/Airshows but here are a few of my favorites! Enjoy!

And Jim, I know you loved the fleet fly-over......but did you notice the Culpeper Raptor? LOL. I was watching the show with Darren, Netti & Andy and I kept seeing a Raptor out of the corner of my eye, and I had to point it out to them..........smile.gif

Wow, really glad the Harrier is in the air now. Did he do any sort of full demo or was this just a test the waters, fly in some straight lines and see how things go?

Would love to see the Harrier at a show......wonder if he will make any Canadian appearences next summer?
