You let your dad stick your camera out of the canopy!?! unsure.gif wink.gif
Trey Carroll
Peas,

Well, technically it's dad's camera rolleyes.gif But these pics were after a photoshoot I did with two Mustangs and a Marchetti.

I've only seen two pics of me flying, but they're on page 3 I think!

Amazing Raptor shots -- wow! And I love the heat signature coming out of the turbo on the Jug -- very cool! I love the way the Jugs whistle. (As long as they still have the turbo installed, which 'Hunter does.)
JT
Nice shots Ryan.

Anybody who was at the show hear anything about the official DVD? They usually do one and I think I heard Rob mention it once on Sat. Usually you can pre-order it at the show, but I couldn't even find a stand selling the Indy t-shirts or dvd. I asked a volunteer if he had seen a stand and he also hadn't seen one, or anyone wearing a new t-shirt from this show.

Per Trey Carroll's request, here's an image of the TBM I took on Saturday.

Here's one I took outside the World Wars Air Museum just after the Airshow ended on Sunday.

A gaggle of CJ-6's heading out for some formation flying after the show. Thanks to the guys and gals of the World Wars Air Museum for their hospitality before, during and after the airshow.

Here's one from Saturday showing how to keep your low-time classic Warbird low-time.

Here's one from Saturday of the Commemorative Air Force's B-24 "Ol 927" wowing the crowd. She was still visiting the Mt. Comfort Airport as of 8-27-08 awaiting some brake work.

Flyin Illini
Hey trey thank your dad for the nice photo passes.

FlyinElvis
Nice shot of the Spit Indy airfan, you just missed me driving the red truck leading the spitfire down the taxi way.
Flyin Illini
First time seeing the yak, sounds beautiful and looks it as well...

Sorry I missed the shot. Whenever I'm getting a photo signed, I always try to get the support personnel too. For without them turnin' the wrenches, the pilots would be sittin' the benches. Mr. Volker was kind enough to sign one on Saturday. And I was able to snag Mike Raymond too. Here's one of Mr. Volker's office.
Trey Carroll
Thanks for the TBM pics guys!

Dad had fun flying, and he said that airplane is a hell of a work-out, banking left and right, IT'S HEAVY!!!

He'll love the pics!

Hotreds, I saw on FC you got the two Mustangs coming in on Friday, did you catch the T-6?

Did anyone else notice the KC-135 orbitting Indianapolis Sunday night after the show? It made several circles then headed east. I assume to top off the Raptors on their way to Langley. I was told they use about
16,000 pounds of fuel per demo. Thats 80,000 for the five demos they did that weekend.
MikeS
Couldn't have been for the Raptors - they didn't leave until Monday morning. I live by the airport and heard (first) then saw them leave! I hung around Sunday, but didn't notice the KC-135. Good eyes! Hmmm.

Hey Liza, thanks for the pic. =)

And as far as the tanker over Indy, that was for a fly-by over the Lucas Oil stadium for the Colts game. It was from Grissom Air Reserve Base which is just north of Indy. Hopefully doing a couple more this season.

After reading all the responses about the Indy airshow and seeing all the really awesome pictures you guys and gals took during those two very hot and humid days, I would like to take a moment to address two men behind the curtain that really make the warbird airshow run. The airbosses. I have flown many airshows over the past years and have seen good briefs and bad ones. Shows that were bossed very well, and some not so well at all. But the Indy airshow has finally come of age, stepped up and has become a very professionally run show with Ralph Royce (RR) and Dave Rothenager (R+10) at the helm. R+10's power point presentation was second to none, the hand outs and briefing cards were very concise and useful. And Ralph's control over a brief and warbird show and attention to detail is legendary. And when you see the "baby boss" sat down on Ralph's stool for talking during the brief, you will now what I mean! And it is all in good fun but seriously what else can be said except for..........Job very well done to both men and thanks for a safe and awesome show!
Duane Carroll
And Pea's.......Don't let Trey fool you that his camera is mine. Heck I can't even touch it let alone have him show me how to work it! And me hang it out the canopy! HA not in your or my lifetime would that ever happen!
