Shot is not great (had to edit it so we could see your arm), but Paul, thanks for playing the "watch" game! I'm sure David got a better shot of it.

Blues put on an excellent, close to the show and crowd line display. Always cool to see a remote show!

Great stuff Nathan and David!! Thanks for posting the pics. I'd love to see more. Great meeting you guys and I look forward to bumping into you 'round the circuit. My backseater is a pilot bud from my old USAF squadron, Scott--a great stick in the jet, a great friend and partner in crime.

Awesome shots! This was indeed a great show with awesome weather. I don't think rain was even a question this weekend. I was glad to see that the efforts to get the backup Viper into the air later in the show on Saturday paid off.
It was also great to see your beautiful T-33 in the air Paul. Great way to open up the show.

Click to view attachmentI agree 100%. There's something to be said about the anticipation as you know the jets are inbound, then catch a glimpse of them in the distance and see the smoke on.

Great pics everyone, thanks.
Some good stuff:
1. Blue Angels were fabulous, as usual;
2. The Aeroshell T-6 team was great, and really complimented the Angels;
3. Very, very cool to have Dale Snodgrass on hand flying the P-51;
4. Weather was extraordinarily good - high 70s to low 80s, low humidity, no rain.
Some bad stuff:
1. Could have used about double the number of trash barrels;
2. A couple of the local CAP personnel had bugs up their butts, one in parking and one on the hot ramp. Not with me, but with other people that I observed. CAP has been very important to the QCAS for as long as it's been there, and they are usually very professional, both cadets and adults. And I know they put in very long days, but the two guys mentioned above were pretty surly. The guy in the helmet with "7M" on the back probably should have spent the weekend on the couch with a beer, watching the ballgame instead. I know the airshow vets all have their 'stupid human" stories, and some despise the general public while loving the airshows themselves. But people (as in "paying customers") standing behind a fence at a show should be able to reasonably conclude they're in a permitted area, and not suddenly be treated like misbehaving children. If the hot ramp people believe the public is too close, they need to take that up with Ken Hopper for next year's layout.

Great show in the Quad Cities, 5 years for me now and never been disappointed.
A quick question, does anybody else think they should have played the Canadian National Anthem? Since there were Canadian aircraft there I thought maybe they would have honored them and played their anthem.

They may have been worried that a hockey game might have broken out, and they didn't have the medical crews available to sew everyone up.
I always love hearing it, so I'd say if there's a Canoodian plane on the ramp, play the music!
