Full Version: Connecting Performers and Air Shows
ASB.TV Community > Making Connections > Performers, Statics, Warbirds Looking for Air Shows

There are plenty of places to find love online, but what if you’re simply looking to get hired by an air show or need to fill a lost weekend?

We, at ASB, want to put our global community to work making connections that keep air shows entertaining no matter where you live. While we’re not starting an online dating site (yet), there are times when a performer or an event needs a nudge to start chatting with one another.

I’ve spent the last 11 years in this industry with most of that time running the NAS Oceana air show. From that experience and that with ICAS, it became apparent that much like a finding a great “date”, air shows and performers have a hard time finding one another when schedules change, planes break, weather re-routes or events cancel.

So use this forum to let people know you have an open weekend or where you might be able to help out a show in transit to another.

This topic is strictly for performers. I’ll personally be moderating this thread to insure it remains for those whom it’s intended. I don’t expect this to be a sizzling topic, but it may come in handy if a show cancels.

Cheers!

Leave it to ASB wink.gif This is something that I have thought for a long time would be a great thing - a lot of smaller shows can network to get acts they might not otherwise get or hear about AND it should help performers fill in schedules too!

I've been looking to get back into wing walking. I'm looking for an experienced Stearman pilot who hopefully has a 450 Stearman of their own or access to one (preferably with experience as a wing walking pilot or can obtain an ace eval as one). My act is extremely unique and highly marketable. To see what I do visit my website.

Red Star and The Dragon is looking to fill two gaps in our schedule:
After Ft Drum 6/28/08 we will be staging in KY waiting on Kansas City 8/23/08 and after Brunswick NAS 9/6/08 we will be staging in Delaware waiting on Jacksonville NAS 10/25/08. Any ideas to fill in between Drum and Kansas or Brunswick and Jacksonvill would be a big help.
