This morning Al Colvin a Former (TUSKEGEE AIRMAN) Dies at the age of 85. He was the first black person to be elected to the Bremerton City Council district, Washington. He was drafted and selected to train as a pilot in 1944, the war ended before is first combat mission. He also did a career working at the Puget sound Naval Shipyard in Bremerton, Washington. I Talked with him at a meeting in Bremerton over his trip to the USSR with Ralph Monroe formal Sec of State in 1984-85. And again at the Keyport Naval Station. I gave him a ride on My Boat, a 72 foot boat. TRB-36. Torpedo Ret boat with other WW-2 Vets. Boats"..

Sorry to hear the news you brought, but at least at the end of the day, he made is mark with is comrads and he made America wake up to the fact that they were as good as the rest, and they have got my Vote.
