QUOTE(Rob.Brindley @ Apr 6 2010, 07:10 AM) This will be great. I'm looking forward to site of 3 mustings flying with this music. Am i right in thinking that this is the first time that music has been composed specifically for an aerobatic team? So how do we get t o hear this music. Everything I've found is the photos of the recording session, but no audio files

QUOTE(cessna172driver @ May 7 2010, 08:28 PM) So how do we get t o hear this music. Everything I've found is the photos of the recording session, but no audio files Good question! Next week you'll be able to download the score to Grey Eagles with the Horsemen music to follow. There will be the 12 min. version used during the demo and a 4 min version called The Fourth Horsemen. Plus, there will be a new video that cuts together the scoring process, the music, and Horsemen flying. I sound like a commercial...but wait, there's more! Truly there is more. The Horsemen videos will also be available for download, as will Mike DA Mustang. and...the Gathering of Mustangs and Legends DVD.

GML and the soundtrack to Gray Eagles should be released next week. Then Ed Flies the Bearcat, Fail to Succeed, Maintainers will be next followed by Spitfire and Duxford.

Plus, there will be a new video that cuts together the scoring process, the music, and Horsemen flying. Greetings. I signed up here to convey my thanks to you for answering the question regarding the music. From what I've noticed in the past all questions about composer James Horner's involvement seemed to be deliberately avoided and / or ignored, so it's great to finally see a confirmation that this music will be available to listeners. To say that I am truly one of Horner's biggest supporters and fans is about as big an understatement as one could make. When people talk about who their music icons and heroes are, you'll hear names like Springsteen, Dylan, but for me, it's most certainly Mr. James Horner. How I came to learn about his involvement in all this was through a lot of curiosity and a bit of google-assisted detective work: I had noticed that during almost every interview and piece of scoring session footage concerning "Avatar", Horner was wearing this baseball cap with a strange logo I couldn't make out. It was only after seeing a 45-minute high quality video interview (DP/30 hosted by David Poland, who interviews various filmmakers) that I was not only able to make out the logo, but also some text that lined the rim of the cap. There was just enough of it that was clear enough to search for in Google, and I was able to find the hat (the "Shipley" cap) but also this site and with it, Horner's interest in flying. He had made a brief comment about flying in an interview that stuck out and then this all fell into place and here I am conveying my thanks that this will be shared for all to enjoy. Long story short, I think it's just plain cool as hell to know that my favorite composer spends his time taking to the skies in vintage aircraft. Personally I never gave much thought one way or another to flying simply because I can't - childhood ear infections have made me too air pressure-sensitive to fly. To know that this is not only a passion for him, but also one that inspires him to create music to accompany it, is just all-around wonderful. Nick

Nick, You are going to love James new Horsemen soundtrack. He really poured his heart into it and it shows. We will have it up on ASB and available for download soon. James spent the weekend with us at the Chino air show and personally cued the music for the team. How cool is that! Cheers Shipley QUOTE(NLMartin @ May 23 2010, 03:18 AM) Greetings.

My thanks for the warm welcome here! Wow. Conducting the air show. That is the definition of awesome. What you say about how he really put his heart into the music for the team is probably the number 1 reason why I love his music, because I can always feel that heartfelt sense of emotion and care. It's so genuine and real and that's what speaks to me. The fact that this is for what is certainly a very important passion in his life beyond the movies, makes this all the more special. Seeing these videos...I would imagine that it's at first a sense of exhilaration and anticipation, but when up there in the skies - if there's time to sit back and enjoy among all the calculations and adjustments - that it must be pure bliss up there.

"Write Your Soul"
In....credible!
Just amazing to hear the man himself tell the story of his history with the team and a preview of the music.
Cannot thank you enough!
