Was looking at March's site to see when it might have its next airshow, so mark your calenders for....

Will March Air Reserve Base have an air show in 2009?

Our next air show is scheduled for 1 and 2 May 2010.

Nice i'll ne there! Should have the T-Birds and hopefully an F-22. Was the first base I saw the F-22 Tac demo at, also was able to get on the fence right in front of the Raptor when she was starting up...pretty cool.

Looks like no TBirds or Blues so far. Maybe they will make up for it with Strike Eagles Raptors and Phantoms.

I hope so, because the last time the T-birds weren't scheduled they just canceled the show all together. sad.gif Plus the Blues have never been here, which actually would be cool if they did show up blink.gif . But March isn't listed on their 2010 or 2011 schedule either. Who knows maybe something will open up for either team?

March AFB 2010 Air Show will be the first weekend of May. Although the Blues and Thunderbirds will not be in attendance, Rob Harrison, The Thunder Delphins, and CalFire will be there, along with a new performer. For the first time at March AFB, The PATRIOTS JET TEAM. It should be a good show.

Sounds good! Always good to the Patriots in the sky! The Tanker10 drop last time was great!

Great to see the Patriots come to the IE, loved them at Miramar. I guess they will be the headline performers?
And of course Rob Harrison, one of my favorite performers.

Right now it looks like, yes, we will be a headline performer. =)

Very cool to have the Patriots at March. Hopefully the mere presence of the Patriots can anchor the show and make sure it isn't cancelled! cool.gif

Looks like we will have a show. They have updated their airfest website with the 2010 dates though the performers and schedule is still from 2008.
Looks like Tim Decker will return too.

Shaping up to be a sweet show.

If anyone here has ever been to March before, I'd appreciate any tips/advice on the whole driving/parking situation. I'm coming in from San Pedro, so it's normally only like a 90-minute drive out to Riverside.

Pedro! cool.gif I got there early last time, got stuck in a long line, was able to get in another line and was in the base in a half hour. I left Garden Grove around 6:30. It wasn't that bad. They had at least two gates going from what I could see.

Shaydis,

I'm right down the 22 from you in Tustin. I'll see you all at the show. We'll see officially if the Raptor and Strike Eagle are added when the April/May ACC schedule is posted.

If I get this instead of the Thunderbirds, then I'll take it! Fresh off the ACC Demo team schedule:

March ARB, CA Open House F-15E East, F-22 East, HF F-86 & P-38.

Hope it holds till show time!

For sure... and for the first time ever at March... Superhornet West. cool.gif My absolute favorite.

Since I only live 14 miles away, I'd be there just for the Superhornet. But to add the Strike Eagle and Raptor is icing on the cake. I'll be there for arrivals, practice, and the show. biggrin.gif
