The listed statics are "maybes" at this point. A list I heard was a little more lean, with an A-10, CH-60, UH-60, possible SH-60, C-5, T-1, T-6, and T-34. Hopefully more will show up--I saw a KC-135R flying towards BDL from just north of the airport, so hopefully it was for tomorrow.

the statics ended up being a KC-135 from McConnell, a nice bluetailed SH-60B helo from HSL-42, USN T-6 Texan II, USAF T-6 Texan II, USN T-34, Lockheed experimental UH-1, K-Max, another non-military helo, and 2 resident C-21s.

Statics were kind of sparse this year, but here's a few photos.

KC-135 from McConnell interior:

Refueling boom operator's station:

The operator lies flat, lower right, and can see the action out the window, upper center.

The KC's flight deck. Old, this a/c was built in 1963:

A custom, experimental amateur built Gleixner Aaron RV-8A:

And CT ANG's resident C-21As:

Thanks Ken, I didn't get there until around 10-1030 I guess, so that's all right, there's always next time. The weather cleared nicely, which made for some good photography. Wished they had more statics though, it was pretty sparse.

Anyhow, a Kaman K-Max K-1200 medium lift helo was on display. Very bizarre looking with the dual counter-rotating intermeshing rotors. No need for a tail rotor here:

Nice pix!
The K-1200 was on static and flew a short demo at the Binghamton air show. Very cool little chopper! Also very quiet. Haven't been to the open house since the A-10's left. My little protest of Mr. BRAC.
