I believe it was the #2 jet, but am not 100% sure on that.

I've heard the same from a few places.

Good to hear the pilot recovered safely.

Anyone know the extent of the damage to the jet?

Yup, No. 2 hit a bird coming out of the Delta Roll. No. 1 flew chase during the recovery and the show was continued without No. 2. The Stinger Loop was flown (No. 5 on the left wing) and then the High-BB only had three jets on the break. Overall a smooth recovery and continuation of the show...

No.2 is so unlucky jet..... It suffered from a bird strike today at Graf Ignatievo AFB, Bulgaria..... again as it looks like.

7 min after the take off, No.2 hit a bird with the canopy and landed right after that. The remaining 5 thunderbirds remain in the vicinity waiting the pilot to take the spare single seat jet lined up with the runway. It cost them 15 min to take off and I think they cutted the show a bit. It is curious that No.4 was actually No.7 because No.1 had a failure on arrival. So somebody decided not to fly with two F-16Ds.

Nobody has taken the bird strike on photo, but I have some pictures when the jet was towed back.
