These on behalf of Buzz member Bob McPherson who is behind the picture posting power curve:

They did this on Sunday 4-222-07 in Honor of the Blue Angel pilot killed in the accident on Saturday. I felt it an honor to be present at this ceremony

My humble respect and sorrow go out to Lt. Davis and his family.

CNN has video of the last moments showing Lt. Davis coming out of the turn and going down. Look for "Plane disappears during airshow" video.

Patco, I remember this, and it definately was an honor to be there for it.

Here's the tribute and honors that the Red Barons demostration team did for Kojack, familiy members and friends.

Here is a picture of Kevin from 2006 Joint Services Open House in Washington DC

Attached Image

This is one phase of work which Kevin was so wonderful. Speaking and encouraging the young people. The crowd was thin after this show which allowed Kevin and the rest of the Blues/Snowbirds to really take their time with the kids. I know this as I stayed back and observed. My then twelve year old son went and received Kevin's autogragh. What a blessed moment. As others above in the thread have stated, it is now a keepsake.

Kevin did a fine job narrating last year. I can testify on his behalf regarding Thunder over Louisville, Washington DC, Wings over Pittsburgh, Chicago Air and Water show, and the Cleveland National Air show.

At my church this morning I went forward for prayer for Kevin's family and Rob Reider. May I be so bold as to to ask anyone reading this to take a moment, pause and say a prayer for the family if you haven't already. Thank you.

My condolences to Kevin's family and the Blue Angels and their families.

Ohio Air Show fan

Some shots of Kevin's aircraft at the DM show, and a shot of him signing some autographs after the El Centro show. I got a phone call while at Minter Field just after the news broke on tv. Eerily enough, an rather long lull in the action at Minter had begun shortly before I got the call about the crash, and these two shots of his aircraft at DM were two out of the only three I took of the Blues' aircraft on the flightline that day.

Godspeed, Kevin

The Blues returned home yesterday afternoon and according to an article in the Pensacola News-Journal, the team will not practice on Tuesday and will not participate in the upcoming Vidalia Onion Festival air show. The pictures associated with the article speak volumes: Kojak?s (car) parking spot has been turned into a makeshift memorial, and the maintenance crew painted up one of the spare birds with his name and number on it. The last picture really got to me, seeing the 6 jet by itself with the other five aircraft parked in their normal spots on the line. I have a lump in my throat right now looking at them and can?t really say a word?

Definately sad, I watched as 1 through 4 took off to head home in pairs and then their spare C130 take off with number 5.

Kojak was a class act and will be missed by his country as well as those who knew him. Forever flying, my friend.

I thank God that we have men like Lt Cmdr. Davis who defend and represent our nation as they do. Praying for his family and the rest of the Blues right now... Having followed the Blues for my entire life, it's easy to become familiar with each pilot - this is definitely a tough time.

First, my sympathy to the survivors. The Lcdr is at peace, now the living have to find their's...

I have a question about Kojack. I am curious how he got the nickname and what it means? The TV show character is Kojak. Has everyone been misspelling the name, or is it some other reference?

My deepest sympathies go out to the Blues and Lt Cmdr. Davis's family. May God be with them in this time of grieving for the loss of a great hero today. My prayers go out to your family, the Blue Angels and and all our troops.

Godspeed Kojack, blue skies forever.
