Many of the simmers here have gotten together and decided to start our own multiplayer server for FS2002, FS2004, and FSX. We would like to invite everyone to join us! Of course we will be holding our virtual airshows on the server, but all types of flying (free flight, virtual airlines, military ops, etc.) are welcome. There is a Teamspeak server available at the same IP and private channels are available for groups who would like them. We will post about all of the server happenings right here on ASB so check back here for the latest news and plans.

The IP for both FS and TS servers is FlyFS.hopto.org.

The June hoplist (coastal California) has been uploaded! Frost will be making a new one each month so look for those in the future.

Hi guys.

Been a long time since I've flown on-line (2000 to 2003 in CFS2 while based in Cyprus.) Moved back to the UK and then they shut down Gamezone !!!!.

I've got FS2004 and FSX with a shed load of add-ons (mostly WW2 piston powered) and followed your link to the new server.

Found it ok but am having trouble setting up the ports as requested. I can only input one number for each of the Client / Host posrts in FS2004 in Multiplayer. Ohmygoditsanewby !!!.

In simple terms can anyone provide some instructions for a computer numpty to enable him to get online and start having fun ?.

Cheers

The only port you need to set in FS is the client port, which should 23456 (the default). The other port numbers are for people connecting through a router. If you are, then you need to access your router menu (usually typing 192.168.1.1 in a browser will do it) and look for a port forwarding tab. You set those port numbers (23450-23460, 6073, 23432, and 2300-2400) to your computers internal IP address. If someone with a router doesn't have their ports forwarded, they will either not be able to join the session ("Unable to connect to all players") or if they do connect they will prevent anyone else from doing so. The simplest solution is to just plug your computer directly to the modem to play FS.

If you need more help either search online or send me a message and I'll do what I can! Glad to see someone else joining in. smile.gif

Alaska Bush Flying HopList

Starting June 26th, there will be a new HopList on Flyfs.net. It will be a much longer list around 50 or more destinations mostly all small airfields. Enjoy the current hoplist and stay tuned.
