Not too often you'll see six B-17s in the air!

A better view of the three:

Hotreds,

When did this flight happen? It's remarkable that they were able to get 6 of them altogether considering how few of them are left!

They actually had eight of 'em up at one point! Just couldn't get all eight in one photo. Eight of the thirteen flying B-17s! The most B-17s flying at one airport since WWII! This was Thunder Over Michigan, Yankee Air Museum, 2005.

I'm with you Lisa, I like the yellow of Fuddy Duddy!

B-17 Nine-o-Nine

Franklin Mint has a Memphis Belle in 1:48 scale diecast, and they just came out with a Nine O Nine. Jim Deveney

I can't imagine how much they want for it... a 1/48 B-17 is pretty big... wingspan almost 24" IIRC (I did build a Revell B-17F in 1/48....painted it as Memphis Belle).

I also built the 1/48 Memphis Belle a couple years ago.

The B-17 from Franklin is $140.
