When did this flight happen? It's remarkable that they were able to get 6 of them altogether considering how few of them are left! They actually had eight of 'em up at one point! Just couldn't get all eight in one photo. Eight of the thirteen flying B-17s! The most B-17s flying at one airport since WWII! This was Thunder Over Michigan, Yankee Air Museum, 2005.
