NYC on June 26th? Whats going on there those days? Closest show I know of is Jones Beach which is May 24 and 25 with the Blues...

NYC may be a 'special relationship' friendship display as opposed to an actual airshow.

After Quonset they head for home over the 30th - July 1st.

new info just in...

Congrats to Quonset!!! the Reds are to be there 28-29.

In addition New York City, June 26!

My source says the Red Arrows are doing 2 Northeast U.S. airshows, and a flyby. I figure NYC is the flyby.

James, where are you getting this information?

Steven,

its all part of my role with ASO... I report directly to the Chairman, he reports relevant info directly to me for 'propaganda' purposes.

I don't know - the bulk of the info (read to me over the phone) was just skipped over to the relevant week for Ottawa (and Quonset), then the serious reading started.

The good news is the Red Arrows are indeed planning on staying in North America from June 7 till July 7, but nothing is approved at this time. The team expects approval within the next 10 days.

Langley's the home base - it'll be there...

Langley was pretty much a lock after the Tbirds bowed out. Personally, you'll get a much more exciting show with the Reds anyhow as they're pretty much the tops of all demo teams wink.gif
I'm guessing RI will get the second show.

What a great piece of news for Langley!! I was aware that there was significant disappointment when they found that they'd not get a North American jet team but they didn't want to make a significant change in the dates they'd set. I'm excited that the arrangements have been made for the Red Arrows. I believe it'll be a great draw for the show.

Congratulations to all at Langley who have been working so hard on getting that amazing team!

Rob

Rhode Island Air National Guard has confirmed the Red Arrows at their show June 28-29! There may be a third announcement for the U.S. in the coming days.

Does any of our UK friends know when the Reds arrive at a show site, like Thursday or Friday?

Deb,

I noticed you stated the Reds will be in North America from the 7th of June till the 7th of July. Any news on where the Reds will be on the 7th of June?

It probably won't happen, but Hamilton had scheduled a show on June 7-8. That's what the Navy Eligible Events says.

I wonder....wink.gif
