I wasn't able to make it to the night show due to the "regular job", but I certainly am happy that I made the 2.5 hour drive up to Binghamton for this Saturday show. Weather was nearly as good as Quonset Pt (with similar lighting for photos, decent before noon, superb later), a bit cooler though, with highs probably only about 78-80. The show itself was 4.5 hours of a well-timed mix of performers and a few commercial arrivals and departures. Statocs were very good for a mid-sized civilian venue, with 7 Hornet/Super Hornets (not counting 3 cancellations!, and the demo team's birds), C-5, C-130, 2 MH-53s, CH-46, Griffon, AF UH-1N, 727, warbirds, classics, etc. Nice job by the organizers! I understand that the night show was more than 3 hours, and was spectacular. Here's some photos from this event. It was good to see Jim Beasley, Scott Snortland, Howard, Big B, Jenny Forsythe, and Greg Witmer and the whole David Schultz team. Howdy McCann was good at the mic too. Rich

QUOTE(airic @ Jul 1 2007, 12:07 PM) Hey Rich, I will go with Bob Baranaskas. Nice shooting as always. See you in a few days.
Eric Oh, I'm sorry, that answer is incorrect. The lower half is indeed AirshowBuzz's own Jim Beasley Jr. Jim was researching the possibility of attaching JATO bottles to Bald Eagle in order to do a high performance section take-off with the Eagle when starting the Heritage Flight. Rich

Rich, Thanks for sharing your photos from the show with us here. Looks like was it a real nice show Also, glad to see the weather was great this year after ALL that terrible flooding last year. Unfortunately I wasn't able to make it up there this year, but I'm hoping to make it up there for the Friday night show and Saturday show next year possibly !!

This was a very nice show, indeed. I really liked the overall organization of it with the flying starting around 7 on Friday evening and then having a usual Saturday show. I was absolutely amazed by the crowd on Friday evening - much larger than I ever expected - or have ever seen - at a (non-military) night show in the states. It was beautiful flying Friday night, although our time slot was a bit earlier than we usually prefer to fly our night act. We ended up flying just after sunset, which made for some gorgeous sight-seeing for me, but unfortunately, while my night light-suit shines beautifully in the dark, it's kind of irrelevant during times when there is as much daylight as we had. Saturday was nice, a bit cool up there, and rather choppy winds when we flew. Just as we were headed to the runway Dad called up to me to warn me that there would be 16 mph gusts and I certainly felt them up there! Heading upwind was challenging (thus the modified 'salute' pass in Rich's photo above), but the downwind was much steadier, so my 'free-flying' pass felt pretty good.
It was great seeing you again Rich! Sorry I didn't get to meet any other ASB folks... maybe next time.
Jenny

QUOTE(Waltz41 @ Jul 2 2007, 12:51 AM) Nice shots! I love the P-51/F-15 break shot! Nice job. Thanks for the compliments Ken and Ryan. It was a really fun day. The airport people were super, and Schultzie's people were even better.

I think this is the sign of a trend. Perhaps we should start a forum page. We should call it "Where's Greg-o!" Or we make it a contest to see who gets the best overall shot. Here's the list so far: Millville, Reading WWII Weekend, Binghamton, TOM. Steve C 7-19-07 added a new one from spies at TOM
